What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optician position at Keplr Vision?
All About Eyes is an eye care practice group that is dedicated to providing an unforgettable patient experience. We strive to customize each interaction to suit the patient’s individual vision needs. Headquartered in Bloomington, Illinois, where we opened our first practice in 2005, All About Eyes provides a sense of community within our 21 locations and places a strong focus on empowering one another in support of their goals.
All About Eyes - Champaign is looking for an Optician who is highly motivated and detail oriented and will help to create the energy and excitement around our products and services.
OVERVIEW:
As a team member at All About Eyes you will help people achieve their best vision every day. Your goal will be to provide exceptional customer service to our patients throughout their visit by making expert recommendations and building an honest rapport.

Your goal will be to ensure each patient receives personalized service and the opportunity to find their perfect eyewear solution.
Your success is what you make it. Over 90% of our managers were promoted from within, many of whom started at entry level positions. If you are looking for a career where you get back what you put into it and are encouraged to learn and grow, this would be a great opportunity for you.
BENEFITS:
As a member of our team, you will have employee-focused benefits available to you. In addition to your base wage, you will earn additional pay incentives on all eyewear sales you complete. We also offer medical/dental/vision plan, and matching 401(k) contributions, and we’ll offer you plenty of other perks, including:
Flexibility: We are CLOSED SUNDAYS, no late nights, and shorter days on Saturdays. In addition, we have 7 paid holidays throughout the year so you can spend those days with your loved ones. All full-time teammates also begin accruing paid time off right away and will earn up to 40 hours in your first year of service.
Wellness: Every teammate receives a company sponsored standard life insurance policy, free vision care benefits, and a short-term disability plan. Included at no charge is access to an EAP (Employee Assistance Program) for you and your household family members in case you are ever in need of counseling services.
Recognition: Annual performance evaluations, regularly scheduled individual check-ins with your leader focused on reciprocal feedback and increasing confidence in goals, and opportunities for promotion which are given based on merit, not simply seniority.
Advancement: Our ambition is to promote personal and professional development by providing training resources, paid certification if you decide to pursue or renew certification, and internal opportunities for career advancement. As part of a nationwide vision organization, Keplr Vision has hundreds of partner practices across 35 states so the opportunities for growth are near limitless.
REQUIREMENTS:
The candidate that is the right fit will blend seamlessly into our ambitious and knowledgeable team. Being an Optician can be challenging but rewarding. Experience is always welcome, but we would also love the opportunity to train anyone new to the field.
Experience: Optical Experience is not required, but relevant experience is preferred. Retail and hospitality background are warmly welcomed. Most important is a great attitude, dedication to detail, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Characteristics: Excellent at multi-tasking, highly organized, team focused, superior customer service skills, and a team player
