The Contact Lens Lab at Nittany Eye Associates is seeking a highly motivated individual with strong organizational and communication skills to join our team. Responsibilities and Duties
Providing patients with exceptional customer service by understanding patient needs and assisting patients when necessary.
Work closely with the Manager of the Contact Lens Department to ensure efficiency and compliance with company’s policies and operational guidelines are met.
Capacity to learn and understanding different types of insurance, submit contact lens orders to insurance and confidently explain insurance coverage to patients.
Managing Contact Lens inventory and maintaining an organized work area including product storage cabinets.
Ordering products which include working with vendors and sales representatives to maintain accurate inventory and product records.
Organizing incoming mail and product deliveries.
Performing regular maintenance duties which include cleaning specialty lenses, and other equipment and products in the Contact Lens Department.
Performing patient training and assistance services which includes training patients on contact lens insertion, removal and care.
Setting a high standard of quality in eye care by ensuring every patient has the best experience
Carry out additional duties required by the Manager of the Contact Lens Department.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Demonstrated history of cooperation, teamwork, professionalism and a positive attitude
Dedication and desire to deliver exceptional patient service and care
Ability to think of innovative solutions and processes that focus on patient care and staff efficiency
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Driven to accomplish tasks and assignments within set deadlines and with little oversight
Dependable, accountable, and is not afraid to take ownership over tasks and assignments
Familiarity with point-of-sale system, computers and calculators; willingness to embrace new Ability to occasionally travel to branch office locations
