Managing Director
The Managing Director provides leadership and oversees all operations, ensuring ICONIC ShowService and effective management of Theatre and Lobby Lounge (Bar/Restaurant). Directly leads and supervises all staff at the location.
Reports to: Chief Operations Officer
Major Functions:

• Take direct accountability for all Guests to ensure that the visit meets and exceeds our ICONIC ShowService standards, recognizing repeat business is at the heart of maximizing profitability. Regularly establishes contact with guests for feedback, ensuring a strong management presence and emphasizing ICONIC ShowService, responding appropriately to each situation.
• Is responsible for ensuring each theatre and Lobby Lounge operates within the policies and established guidelines, ensuring the guests' journey includes engagement, from online ticket purchases through food and beverage sales to the actual, and most notable, movie experience.
• Communicates regularly and thoroughly with operations, shift managers, theatre managers, and all corporate departments, using systems in place including email, available reports, weekly meetings/conference calls, setting the tone/path of all communication. Ensures all correspondence sent by the corporate office and governmental entities are properly disseminated. Actively advocates for an ICONIC experience and represents the ICON brand in all areas such as company meetings, special events, vendor relations, and company promotions.
• Manages all employee/employer interactions including, but not limited to: coaching and development; onboarding; training; developing; progressively disciplining; evaluating; mentoring; and terminating. Fosters creativity and teamwork from the staff by soliciting ideas, encouraging and supporting all team members. Is adept at recognizing, promoting, and developing talent.
• Directs all follow up on insurance-related incidents, safety, and security, forming solutions to avoid repeat issues. Ensures same-day reporting and timely corrective action and communication, as needed.
• Supervises all budgetary functions, included, but not limited to, optimizing all expenditures and ensuring responsible fiscal management at all levels.
• Responsible for all inventory and revenue in the facility, working with stock, cash management, budgets, and loss control; understands food costs, and implementing effective cost and inventory controls, accurately accounting for receivables and payables.
• Cultivating a professional relationship works with managers, vendors, and landlords to ensure the physical plant of the theatres and grounds/surroundings are well maintained, clean, safe, and secure.
• Special projects as requested; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
• 3 - 5 years theatre management experience, or equivalent.
• 2 - 3 years of that time as management experience must be in a lead role in a theatre and/or restaurant,
• OR if the equivalent of 2 - 3 years upper-level management experience, preferably a minimum of six months experience in directly managing all main aspects of the theatre and/or lounge, including but not limited to: scheduling, orientation, budgeting, inventory management, presentation management, human resources management, and safety/security/physical plant management.

• Proven customer service and staff management skills
