About the role
We are seeking a dependable warehouse lead who is detail-oriented and possesses the physical and mental stamina this role requires. You will play an important role in ensuring our warehouse operates with optimum precision and efficiency, helping to stage raw materials, fulfill orders, and prepare them for shipment, and train warehouse personnel. Forklift certification, SAP WMS, and previous warehouse experience are a major plus.
Key responsibilities
You will be required to drive forklifts to move freight onto and from trucks, retrieve and put away material from the rack locations. You must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, and work in hot or cold temperatures. You will be required to complete paperwork, ensure tasks are completed safely and on time, and must make decisions regarding the transfer of incoming and outgoing inventory. You must be alert, ambitious, hard-working, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions. Tasks that you may find yourself doing: Collect merchandise from the production line and safely transporting materials to the shipping docks Receiving and documenting raw material for delivery Maintain an inventory of all materials entering or exiting the warehouse Identify missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor Ensure that all the materials are safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping Manage all materials with appropriate care Scan labels (using RF gun) to ensure products are shipped to the right destination Willing to drive multiple types of forklifts (sitdown- electric, Turn truck, or stand-up) Record data about the products they are moving Complete Full bag staging (Bulks) tasks Assist with all shipping, receiving, and inventory organization operations Work under supervision and direction of warehouse manager/supervisor Help to efficiently carry out all product loading and unloading tasks Unload, stack, move, and place products in designated areas Move and transfer products between various sections of the warehouse as needed Label warehouse stock for quick and easy identification and retrieval Double-check items to verify the accuracy of outgoing orders Ensure tools and equipment are kept clean and in working order Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to lead/supervisor Follow all warehouse policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Always adhere to health and safety rules and regulations Wear protective clothing and equipment as required Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently according to company protocol Work with other warehouse team members to effectively complete assigned tasks
Qualifications and skills
Qualifications & Skills Required. High school diploma or GED equivalent Previous warehouse experience preferred Forklift certification and/or ability to successfully complete forklift training Physical stamina; must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time Able to work long hours on ones feet and perform physically demanding tasks OK with shift work, every other weekend, and possible graveyard hours Excellent verbal communicator Computer literate Familiar with common warehouse tools and equipment Thorough, alert, and detail-oriented Dependable and responsible Strong work ethic Comfortable working independently or with a team Makes safety a priority
