About Kerry
About the role
Supervises and coordinates activities of Springfield manufacturing plant. Responsible for production, personnel management, regulatory compliance, inventory management, transportation and delivery of product to marketplace, maintenance compliance, capital expenditures, continuous improvement, recordkeeping and benchmarking.
Key responsibilities
1. Coordinate with corporate for production schedule, inventory planning and reporting.
2. Monitor federal, state, and local laws and regulations and ensure facility compliance (in coordination with corporate). Maintain permits, reports and other legal documents related to site legal compliance.
3. Supervise all plant capital expenditures. Oversee all spending and reporting to corporate.
4. Develop and maintain site operating budget, product standard cost and other site accounting, as required.
5. Coordinate with corporate HR department to manage all plant personnel issues.
Qualifications and skills
A four-year college degree in a technical field (Engineering, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, etc.) is required.
EXPERIENCE:
8-15 years’ experience in food or related manufacturing is required. Experience including two to four years of batch process food production is preferred.
