Kai USA is an Tualatin, Oregon based manufacturer of Kershaw Knives, Zero Tolerance Knives, and high-performance kitchen cutlery from Shun and Kai Housewares. We continue to grow and have an immediate need for a Customer Service Representative (CSR) Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm.

It has been a very productive year, and we are experiencing growth. So we are excited to be increasing the size of our team! Are you sharp enough?

Essential Responsibilities & Duties Summary:

  • Provide customer satisfaction through effective interactions.
  • Answer and process inbound calls.
  • Demonstrate positive and cooperative behavior with customers and co-workers.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and punctuality standards.
  • Process customer purchase orders and other special requests as approved by management.
  • Review and explain promotions, service, and product features to reps and dealers. Troubleshoot and work to solve customer service issues.
  • Review orders received for price accuracy and return to customer with discrepancies.
  • Inform customer of unit prices errors, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed.
  • Advise customer if the order is close to the free freight minimum and inquire if they would like to take advantage of the discount by adding on to the order.
  • Follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
  • Provide open order reports generated by the system to advise customers of updated shipping ETA’s.
  • Check shipping orders to ensure they are accurate with regards to quantity shipped, this is done by comparing shipping documents with computer generated reports.
  • Receive and check customer complaints as well as answer customer inquiries.
  • All other job duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements:

  • Be able to work on site (not remotely).
  • 2-4 years of exceptional customer service experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Time management and prioritizing skills
  • Demonstrated Ability to find the positive in any situation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
