Production Supervisor

Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for Supervision and coordination of production team members.

12 Hour Shift

In This Role, You'll Have The Opportunity To:

• Assure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Plans work for the shift operation and assigns work to production related operators.
• Assists in the selection and hiring process for new employees
• Train new employees
• Monitor quality, productivity, and scrap.
• Manage machine down time
• Administers company policies.
• Responsible for accurate accounting of employees worked hours for payroll purposes.
• Must be able to provide good leadership and set an example regarding safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications
• Interprets company policies for workers, enforces safety regulations
• Analyzes and resolves work problems, settles disputes, and assists workers in solving work problems.
• Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
• Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
• Provides direct and honest communication with employees
• Maintains floor cleanliness standard

What You Need To Succeed:

• Excellent ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Excellent ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Excellent ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
• Excellent ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Excellent ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and have proficient PC skills.
• Above average problem solving skills to resolve disputes.
• · Above average ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• · This position requires the ability stand for long periods of time, as well as constant mobility on a daily basis. Additionally, this position requires ability to move within/between departments and facilities.

Education and experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or Associates degree (A.A.) from a college or university; and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
