Preferred Qualifications
  • Intermediate level skills using: PowerPoint and Publisher;
  • Past experience making administrative support decisions and judgments under general direction and in the context of the overarching goals of the department;
  • Experience with accreditation visits;
  • Experience with event planning.
Job Specific Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma
  • Three to five years of administrative support experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Demonstrated proficiency maintaining a busy professional’s calendar, scheduling appointments and meetings and managing schedules;
  • Advanced level skills using: Office Suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.) and GSuite (Google docs, Gmail, etc.)
  • Previous administrative support experience with demonstrated excellent performance;
  • Ability to find and use information to problem solve and make decisions;
  • Commits to excellence in all aspects of work responsibilities;
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to effectively work with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community;
  • Experience with handling budgets, quarterly projections;
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information at all times.

  • prioritizing and handling multiple tasks, duties and projects simultaneously while adhering to timelines and goals, and maintaining accuracy and attention to detail;
  • using effective oral and written communication (in the English language) that conveys a high level of professionalism and respect using business vocabulary and proper grammar;

Schedule and maintain calendar of appointments for Dean, including internal and external meetings, and travel. Anticipate, organize, and store related supporting and background documents, materials and information appropriately. Under the direction of the Dean, balance and prioritize requests for calendar appointments.

Duties
Serve as front desk person for the College of Sciences and Liberal Arts. Organize and maintain office files, both hardcopy and electronic, and maintain a professional work environment. Handle and/or redirect inquiries from internal and external constituencies in an efficient and professional manner. Prepares financial documents including funds request and travel expense reports. Office and break room supplies purchased and stocked.

Miscellaneous report compilations as needed, i.e., board reporting, assisting with updating online catalog, etc.
