Description
Summary :
The Keuka College Department of Athletics and Recreation, part of the Division of Student Life, seeks qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Coach (part-time) in a specific sport.
This is a pool posting and applicants will be reviewed only when there is a need to fill a position.
This part-time, 10-month position will assist in the organization, implementation, and skill instruction of daily practice, and game-day preparation.
Must demonstrate the ability to instruct the student-athletes (team) in all aspects of coaching in the absence of the head coach.
The anticipated annual salary will not exceed $4,000. The selected candidate is expected to adhere to all NCAA, Empire 8, and Keuka College rules and regulations.

Essential Responsibilities :
- Assist in the organization, implementation, and skill instruction of daily practice, and game-day preparation.
- Teach and train student-athletes in skills and strategies specific to a particular sport / defense / offense, etc.
- Evaluate and analyze the gameplay reports of the opposing team; then, instruct the student-athletes on methods of developing strategies to address the opposing team's game tactics.
- Assist with recruiting as needed.
- Instruct the team in all aspects of coaching in the absence of the head coach.
- Assist in the organization and execution of non-traditional and preseason practices, games, training, and conditioning programs.
- Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times towards co-workers, and internal and external customers, representing Keuka College, its programs, policies, and procedures in a positive and professional manner.
Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork.
- Attend provided / necessary training and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.
- Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Keuka College mission, vision, and values and adhering to institutional policies.
- Maintain a high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures.
- Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
- Perform other functions as assigned by the head coach.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Prior coaching experience preferred.
- Ability to be sensitive to and respond to the needs and concerns of all constituents of the College including but not limited to students, faculty, college staff, and the public.

Physical Requirements :
- Occasional local or regional travel may be required.
- Evening and weekend hours are required.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
