Summary:
The Assistant Director of Inclusion and Belonging reports to the Director of Inclusion & Belonging and is a working member of the Student Life team. The position collaborates with the director and graduate assistants to provide support to students of color, students in the LGBTQIA community, international students, and students of all religious, secular, and spiritual identities. Key responsibilities include facilitating cultural programming, social justice education, advisement of student organizations, leadership development, advocacy, and supervision of student and graduate level staff.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the programs including: Interfaith, Intercultural, LGBTQIA Resource Center and PRIDE, Multicultural Student Association and International Student Services
- Assist the Director of Student Inclusion and Belonging in strategic planning efforts and the development and implementation of assessment measures and evaluations for program effectiveness and students’ learning outcomes and satisfaction, with a focus on retention rates and personal development.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate student and graduate level staff.
- Assist the Director of Student Inclusion and Belonging in developing curricula for trainings and workshops for student and graduate level employees.
- Develop and implement annual programming and other traditional programs, ensuring that programs are intentional, collaborative, inclusive, and effectively promoted through Keuka College marketing/advertising means and social media.
- Serve as a liaison between student organizations and the Keuka College Student Senate in advising and mentoring cultural and social justice student organizations.
- Incorporate Keuka College policies and procedures into all event planning, taking into consideration calendar and room reservations, contracts, budgets, facilities maintenance, and campus safety.
- Assist the Director in facilitating collaboration among various departments for diversity trainings as well as on- and off- campus cultural, social justice, LGBTQIA , and global education programming.
- Participate in campus committees, and other departmental and campus wide special events/programs as assigned
- Is a member of the KC Squad, the team responsible for programming within Student Life
- Serve in on call rotation
- Responsible for ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in compliance with various institutional and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times towards co-workers, internal and external customers, representing Keuka College, its programs, policies and procedures in a positive and professional manner. Maintain effective working relationships to ensure institution-wide teamwork.
- Attend provided/necessary trainings and other meetings to support effectiveness within the position as required.
- Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity by supporting the Keuka College mission, vision and values and adhering to institutional policies.
- Maintain high regard for student privacy in accordance with the FERPA privacy policies and procedures.
- Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.
- Perform other functions as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s level degree in Student Personnel Administration or other related field preferred. field (e.g., multi-cultural education, counseling, social work, sociology, adult education, divinity, theology)
- Two years prior experience in multicultural affairs/diversity initiatives preferred.
- Previous experience working in a college setting.
- Ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail.

- Experience and desire to work with college-age students.
- Ability and interest to collaborate with others on projects and programming.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize to work meet deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.

- Knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.

Salary : $45,700 - $57,800
