What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler Forklift Driver Days position at Keurig Dr Pepper?
As the Material Handler you will execute storage, material handling, replenish and fulfillment functions within the Plant while meeting our World Class Manufacturing and Distribution standards.
What you will do:
Material Handling
- Move raw materials and finished goods to and from Production areas
- Complete system transactions for every physical movement in a timely and accurate manner
- Replenish pick locations as needed
- Load and unload trucks
- Operate forklifts within the Safety standards
- Maintain and switch batteries in the lifts per the Material Handling procedures
- Report forklift maintenance issues/error codes and fill out inspection sheets daily
- Audit discrepancies with inventory using transaction history
- Participate and assist inventory cycle counts and reconciliation
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping as it pertains to our standards and 5S work
- Support all production teams in plant as needed
- Pick product for customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Maintain accuracy as it pertains to the shipping metrics
- Use People Soft transactions to process orders
- Use on line and manual Bills of Lading to process customer paperwork
- Operate semi-automatic pallet wrappers as needed
- Interact in a team based work environment, meetings, huddles
- Participate in the Team goal setting and metric reviews
- Participate in the Industrial Stretching Program
- Participate in the Safety program
Wrapping Queue Attendant
- Adhere to all Company, Local, State and Federal regulations and policies
- Perform other material handling duties as needed
- Responsibility to report food safety, quality and regulatory compliance to plant or division personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Load/change film using safe practices as necessary
- Input to wrapper HMI Board as necessary
- Troubleshoot wrapper film issues, conveyor jams
- Move HU label issue pallets to proper location
- Keep wrapper sorting area safe, clean, & organized
- Must be able to execute duties safely and efficiently to keep up with demand
- All other Material Handler duties, qualifications, and functions as required
Lid/Label Specialist
- Accurate and timely delivery of lids/labels to the lines as requested via Kanban
- Pick up lids/labels from lines no longer needed as required and return to correct location
- Safely operate “Pack Mule” equipment
- Keep lid/label aisles clean, neat, and organized
- Keep “Retains” area organized
- Wrap, properly tag, & place retains pallets for racking
- Accurately fill out Kanban request for lid/label aisle replenishment
- Process operational lid/label counts as requested
- Make Kanban Sheets as necessary
- Inspect lid/label aisles daily for BITs
Other Necessary Functions
- Responsibility to report food safety, quality and regulatory compliance to plant or division personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Performs other duties as requested by management.
- Follow all Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures
Requirements
What you must have:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1-2 years of Material Handling experience required
- Intermediate to high computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic warehouse principles
- Strong time management skills
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to multi task
- Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions
- Ability to follow Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures
- Ability to walk and stand on concrete floors for 12 hour shifts
- Operate material handling equipment repetitively.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds frequently with mechanical assistance
- Ability to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis and 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to constantly lift, bend, stretch and stand during entire shift
- Ability to push/pull up to 1.500 pounds using supplied equipment
- Ability to frequently kneel, squat, bend, and stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions
