About us
Jim Key Farm are seeking a dedicated Farm Hand to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for farming, strong work ethic, and possess the necessary skills to contribute to the daily operations of our family farm. The responsibilities for this position are varied, so we are interested in hiring an individual who are capable of taking on different roles, as well as helping with general manual labor. We are a grain farm, so no livestock is involved. Compensation is based on experience and work ethic. There will be a wide variety of skills needed for this job. Knowledge of general agriculture, crop production, semi driving, equipment operation, willingness to learn, and attention to detail. We will do on the job training. Applicants must be self motivating, dependable, reliable, and punctual.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist with general farm duties
- Operate farm machinery and equipment
- Perform maintenance on machinery and equipment with hand and power tools as needed
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
Are You Qualified?
- Experience working on a farm or similar environment
- Proficiency in operating farm machinery
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Capability to maintain farm equipment and machinery
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment repairs
