Financial Planning Analyst
Location: South Gate, CA
Shift: 1st, Monday – Friday
Pay: $65,000 to $107,500 US Dollar (USD)
Job Description
Assists in the preparation, analysis, and distribution of the financial statement package for facilities and division. Responsibilities include the follow -up to inquiries made regarding issued financial statements, as well as special projects assigned by management by performing the following duties. This position is an onsite role and must be able to provide proof US Person status.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
· Assists in the month-end/quarter-end/year-end closing and distribution of monthly/quarterly/year financial statements.
· Perform detailed financial statement analyses, including discussions on various issues.
· Assists Division Controller/Assistant Division Controller and VP Finance with audit related issues and projects.
· Responsible for forecast, annual budget, bridges, gap analysis and corporate reporting
· Preparation of account reconciliations and standard cost variance analysis
· Serve as liaison to location Controllers, assisting them with accounting related service issues
· Communicate with co-workers, management, auditors, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
· Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
· Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.
Required Skills:
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, customers, vendors and other employees of the Company.
· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
· Syteline experience preferred
· Proficient in Microsoft Offices, Advanced in Excel
· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must be detail orientated. Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.
Experience & Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting (B. S.) or Financial plus five (2-5) years of audit, financial planning, and analytical experience.
