Paralegal assistant

Key Staffing is seeking a Paralegal Assistant for a firm located in Bakersfield, CA.

Location : Bakersfield, CA 93301

Work Schedule : Monday Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, 35 hours per week, not on call, no long-distance travel.

Pay Range : $25 - $35 / hour (DOE)

Job Description : The Paralegal Assistant position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in supporting legal professionals in a dynamic environment.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join the team.

Responsibilities :

• Open and close office daily
• Greet clients and manage multi-phone lines
• Prioritize daily tasks efficiently
• Draft various legal documents including declaration forms, formal discovery, notices, and motions
• Prepare attorneys for weekly client appointments
• Occasional delivery of documents to and from court (within 2 miles)
• Utilize tech-savvy skills to navigate relevant software and platforms
• Provide excellent customer service with empathy towards client needs
• Prioritize workload effectively and understand the legal process
• Conduct legal research as required
• Uphold high standards of quality work and attention to detail
• Collaborate effectively with team members

Soft Skills :

• Strong grasp of grammar and attention to detail
• Honesty and integrity in all aspects of work
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Team player with excellent communication skills

Requirements :

• Previous experience in a legal or family law setting preferred
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred but not required
• Familiarity with programs such as Clio, Clio Draft, and the CEB Website is advantageous
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
