Location: 3909 Lincoln Highway - Downingtown, Pennsylvania 19335 Job Summary Be a problem solver, trusted advisor, and partner to the people and businesses in our Key Bank communities. The Private Client Banker Associate is a foundational role designed to prepare you to play with confidence and obtain the necessary licenses, training, skills, and behaviors to become a successful Private Client Banker (PCB). At this stage, you'll earn the required licenses, start building relationships that can shape your career, and be exposed to the products, platforms and tools you need to serve clients and play with confidence. The responsibilities while in the PCBA role include but are not limited to the completion of retail university, next you will be spending time studying for successful completion of the SIE exam, while learning and growing at the branch. After completion of the SIE you will be moved forward to a structured 60 day remote curriculum, where your full responsibilities become studying to successfully pass the Series 6, 63 and the state insurances exams. After successfully achieving licenses, the PCB Associate will be placed into the Private Client Banker (PCB) role. KeyBank will cover all expenses for your study and examination materials. As a PCB, you will deliver and refer appropriate financial solutions to KeyBank's client base with up to $2M in investable assets. The PCB is responsible for helping new and existing clients achieve confidence in their financial wellness by assessing their financial needs, gathering, and documenting client data, and offering appropriate products and services. PCBs identify products and services to meet client needs and refer to appropriate sales professionals in Retail, Key Investment Services, Private Bank, Mortgage or Business Banking. Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of private client products and services, as well as knowledge of competitive products and services to ensure meaningful in-depth financial wellness conversations with clients Opening personal and business accounts (consumer checking, small business, various deposit products, home equity, unsecured lending, certificates of deposit, etc.). Developing strong partnerships with branch teammates and line of business partners – focusing on client acquisition and deepening the relationship of current clients; effectively managing internal and external centers of influence. Ensuring compliance with operational, risk, security and audit procedures and policies including appropriate documentation of client interactions. Support of branch operations including assisting with client transactions on the Teller line as needed. Education Qualifications High School Diploma , GED, or equivalent experience (required) or Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience Qualifications 1-3 years Experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals and building referral sources in insurance and investment products. (required) Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with clients, including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking. (required) Comfortable interacting with small business clients, overcoming objection, and asking fact-finding questions with the goal of being helpful. (preferred) Interpersonal interaction skills and an ability to build rapport in matter of minutes is vital. (required) Demonstrated experience with influencing business partners and leveraging centers of influence, as this role will require significant influence of partners such as Key Investment Services, Mortgage and Business Banking sales professionals. (required) Working knowledge of PCs (MS Windows and Office Products including Word, Excel, etc.). (required) Working knowledge of digital technology (mobile, apps, web-based browsing) and ability to educate clients on digital platforms and capabilities within Key.
