What are the responsibilities and job description for the Home Based Caseworker position at Keys Counseling?
Keys Counseling is seeking a full-time Caseworker to work with adolescents who are involved with Juvenile Probation services. We are looking for a motivated candidate who enjoys working with teens and families who are struggling with issues such as truancy, substance use, parental conflict or other challenges.

As we expand our involvement with the Juvenile Probation system, we are adding to our team of caseworkers at our Valparaiso office. Caseworkers work with the clients and their families in an office, home, and community settings. Caseworkers are instrumental in helping to assess need, and developing and implementing the client’s treatment plan. Our staff of caseworkers connect clients to community resources and focus on teaching clients to utilize resources in a way that fosters a culture of responsibility and accountability in their lives and within the family unit.
All services are provided in a manner that is culturally competent and demonstrates a desire for clients to make positive, sustainable changes in their lives.
Job Responsibilities:
· Provide Home-Based, truancy termination services to children and families to support them in achieving their treatment goals
· Administer standardized assessment(s) to identify age-appropriate treatment plan goals and objectives
· Facilitate truancy curriculum in small group settings
· Foster healthy and productive family communication
· Transport clients to appointments when needed
· Attend relevant meetings facilitated by DCS, or Juvenile Probation
· Attend required supervisions and meetings offered by Keys Counseling
· Maintain working relationships with referral sources by promptly responding to all communication requests
· Meet KPIs expected for face-to-face contacts and client services

- Provides Clinical support in the form of bi-weekly supervisions, department and regional meetings, as well as occasional staffing and ongoing trainings
Minimum Qualifications include but are not limited to the following:
· Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social work, psychology, sociology, or a directly-related human service field from an accredited college. (Other Bachelor’s degrees will be accepted with a minimum of five years of experience working directly with families in the child welfare system.)
· A valid driver’s license and the ability to use private car to transport self and others, in compliance with state policy concerning minimum car insurance coverage
· Ability to respond in a prompt and professional manner to text communications
Preferred Qualifications include:
· Experience providing home-based work
· Experience working with the juvenile probation population
· Experienced in teaching curriculums in group settings

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
