KTL is a rapidly expanding teacher training company located in Rowley, MA. We provide professional development (PD) to educators in schools across the country for teaching reading and writing skills across all grades. We work with over 100 school districts across the country, and have an office,  senior management and training staff of over 70 professionals, many of whom live and work out of their homes in different states. About the Position

KTL is seeking a full-time Relationship Manager with a strong background in literacy education and experience working with school administrators. The role focuses on working with school districts (and some regional or state education agencies) to develop their literacy PD plans and communicate on a regular basis with these accounts throughout the delivery of KTL training services, checking on their satisfaction and making updates to their PD plans. This position is part of the Relationship Management Department that currently consists of four other Relationship managers. 


This is a full-time position. This role can be based out of KTL’s Rowley, MA office, or remotely from your home office for candidates outside of the North Shore, MA area. Some travel to account sites, conferences, and other events will be required. 


Overview of Responsibilities

  • Respond to inquiries from schools, districts, and other education organizations about KTL’s PD services and work with prospects to fashion proposals that optimize our chances to bring on new business
  • Begin customizing PD plans with new accounts based on their literacy goals, leading to the development of proposals and contracts
  • Communicate details about contracted services with others related to scheduling of trainers and sharing account information
  • Ongoing relationship management: communicate on an regular basis with accounts throughout the delivery of services, checking on customer satisfaction
  • Make adjustments to PD plans during the school year based on account input
  • Develop plans and contracts for the next school year
  • Learn how to use SalesForce software to support all stages of the account management process
  • Collaborate with other relationship managers in the department

Qualifications

  • Ability to build relationships and understand the needs of new and existing accounts in order to determine the best literacy PD plan for their educators across all grades
  • Very detail oriented with strong communication, and interpersonal skills
  • As part of a small department in a small company, willingness to be flexible and help others in the department
  • A passion for the mission of KTL, and alignment with our values and commitment to helping educators improve student literacy achievement
  • Experience and strong background knowledge about research-based literacy instruction 
  • At least 5 years experience as a school and/or district educator or administrator 
  • Minimum bachelor degree with an education-related major
  • Experience communicating with school and/or district administrators 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Google suite of products, and willingness to learn KTL’s customized SalesForce software for tracking communications with accounts
  • Able and willing to do some travel
