Monday- Friday 8am-5pm
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assisting in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees
- Verifying the accuracy of employee data and preparing reports on payroll activities.
- Responding to employee inquiries regarding their pay and taxes.
- Calculating and processing payroll checks or electronic transfers of funds.
- Recording, verifying, and reconciling Payroll-related information.
- Ensuring compliance with Mission Pharmacal Companys pay-related benefits and policies.
- Performs maintenance of the HRIS Payroll & Time Management System to include set-up, additions, changes, and much more.
- Processes employee data changes (new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, transfers, and additional earnings or deductions) on a timely basis.
Including processing payroll records for new hires & terminations as well as updating employee profiles electronically.
- Completes audit reports to ensure payroll is accurate & compliant with payroll operational standards.
- Monitors and adjusts employee timesheets with punch corrections electronically.
- Oversees and corrects PTO Bank discrepancies and other time-off policies for employees. Prepares and reviews reports pre-transmission to reduce payroll errors (missing time, shift differentials, overtime).
- Processes and Child Support & Garnishment orders for all companies.
- Provides training and support to employees on company policies and procedures, and the HRIS system.
- Communicates proactively with managers and employees regarding pay schedules and transmission deadlines & various report requests.
- Provides customer service to employees : questions on payroll-related matters, taxes as it relates to pay, guidance on obtaining IRS instructions on withholding issues, and training.
- Process employment verifications.
- Works closely with the benefits team to coordinate pay for employees going on leave and returning from leave to ensure accurate pay for those employees.
- Serves as backup to People Operations Specialist.
- Provides assistance with multiple audits and projects. Performs any other related duties as required or assigned
Job Requirements and Qualifications :
- Proficient in ADP / Paylocity
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily.
