Stand up forklift operator

Location: North Miami

Pay Rate: $16.00 to $18.00

Working Hours: 7:00am to 4:30pm M-F

Scope of Work

Handle client’s goods with mechanized material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, while maintaining food safety, food security, and food quality.

Essential Duties

· Load or unload tractor / trailers with Stand up forklift or pallet jack; Reach truck

· Inspect goods being loaded or unloading

· Take temperatures of goods and trailers

· Move palletized goods to/from designated locations in the warehouse;

· Hand pick case or each pick orders in set period of time, meeting predetermined order quotas;

· Stack pallets by hand;

· Perform daily janitorial duties such as sweeping, mopping, removing trash, vacuuming, and cleaning breakroom and restrooms;

· Count inventory in store rooms

· Work under direction from team leaders, supervisor, or senior management

· Be friendly to all co-workers, customers, contractors, and vendors

Qualifications

· Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted, and perform frequent bending, lifting, squatting, and reaching above shoulders;

· Must be able to work in sub-zero (frozen) temperatures often reaching 20 degrees BELOW ZERO (-20°F) wearing protective clothing;

· Must be able to operate mechanized handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts

· Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English

· Must be able to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiple and divide)

Other Requirements

· High school diploma or GED required

· Prior warehouse and forklift experienced desired

· Pass a Level 1 (eGuarded) & Level 2 (FieldPrint) background check for school badge clearance
