What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operations Manager in Converse TX position at KeyStaff?
Essential Functions:
- Reviews forecasts, programs and production orders considering type, quantity, specifications and delivery date of the products in order to plan and establish the most efficient processes.
- Plans production work, establishing priorities and the most efficient sequences for the elaboration of products that meet the established dates and specifications.
- Ensures that production equipment receives effective preventive maintenance, to ensure the highest level of performance.
- Seeks continuous improvement and makes suggestions to management about changes in the production process to establish a more efficient process which will reduce operating time and costs.
- Measures, controls and improves the quality of service to internal and external customers.
- Strengthens the organizational development of the company to build a work environment that generates a sense of belonging and pride of people towards the organization.
- Manages improvement projects related to productivity, quality and / or cost reduction.
- * Participates in the creation of personnel development and succession plans in key positions.
- Supervises and evaluates work performance to increase supervisors’ productivity.
- Forms and develops work teams focused on the achievement and fulfillment of the organization's objectives.
Skills and Abilities:
- 5 years of Experience in similar positions (Production/ Operation Manager level)
- Heavy industries experience (Mig weld, Drilling, Assembly, Paint Process etc.) * Flat organization experience * Bilingual (English-Spanish)
- Attention to detail and thorough in completing work tasks
- Excellent and Clear Communication skills – written and verbal
- Problem solving abilities * Organized, proactive and self-directed
- Focused on meeting targets and goals
- Strong leadership skills
