TRANSPORTATION STAFF JOB DESCRIPTION
Keystone Adolescent Center is a non-profit organization that helps adolescents by providing them with the highest quality of life-changing care, training, and tools to build healthy lives.
Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s Degree in Social Work or any related field. Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma/GED, being 21 years of age or older, and have/maintain a valid Driver’s License. Must be able to follow policies and interact with clients in a residential setting. Flexible schedule required. Must be able to obtain as a condition of employment an ACT 33/34 Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, ACT 151 Criminal Record Check, ACT 114/FBI Fingerprint Services Check, pass a drug screening, and also have a current physical exam.
Transportation is a vital part of the daily operations at Keystone Adolescent Center. The Transportation Staff will be responsible for the safe transport of Residential and Non-Residential clients. The Transportation Staff is also responsible to ensure their instructions regarding pick-ups and drop offs is clear to them before departing for transport. Should a circumstance arise that the Transportation Staff is unfamiliar with, she/he should contact their supervisor for clarification.
The primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide direct supervision and accountability of residents at all times.
- Obey all vehicle law and criminal law codes.
- Assure the transportation vehicle is ready for transports before departure from Keystone.
- Keep the inside of the transportation vehicle clean and neat.
- Providing safe transportation of Residential and Non-Residential clients to/ from the Keystone Facility utilizing agency vehicles, insuring residents are on time for all appointments/groups.
- Transport from pick-up point to scheduled destination, no unauthorized stops.
- Communicate any emergency or pertinent information to their proper supervisor immediately and completing any necessary incident reports/ other paperwork as required.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism both in actions and words, and a professional appearance at all times.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license, report change of driver’s license status immediately to their supervisor.
- Tobacco use is prohibited in the van or in direct presence of the clients.
- Ensure that all information including but not limited to guardians to whom the client maybe released to and emergency phone numbers is obtained.
- Perform other duties that may be required by the Program Managers and Supervisors.
- Abide by all Keystone Adolescent Center Policies and Procedures.
Display Keystone employee ID card and proper dress attire (Keystone shirt or as directed by their supervisor)
