Work Description:
- Leads team on large projects or significant segments of large complex projects
- Facilitates the strategic management process and provides consulting expertise and project management for specific strategic initiatives that are deemed high risk or critical to success of the Unit/Section
- Provides applications systems analysis and programming activities for multiple Government sites and/or facilities
- Supports all aspects of projects, including providing inputs as requested by the government in preparation of long and short-range plans
- Tracks progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, and approved timelines
- Reports status and variances. Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule
- Demonstrates ability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks
- Implements change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, and secure customer approvals.
- Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum five (5) years of project management experience (Educational requirement may be waived if the candidate has ten (10) or more years of experience
- Five (5) years or more of experience managing all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality, and risk) for various types of projects
- Five (5) years or more of experience providing written and oral reports to management, customers and stakeholders regrading progress of projects
