Keystone Emergency Services is now accepting applications to serve in the role of Emergency Services Lead. This position is great fit for a values-based individual passionate about professional service delivery in a resort destination community. We are searching for an energetic individual that strives for excellence in all that they do! KES offers competitive pay and a four day/ten hour work week and a flexible schedule; leaving more time to enjoy your hobbies and the great outdoors. This year-round role coordinates the delivery of Emergency Medical Services, engages with our community and consistently provides exceptional customer service. A KES Public Safety Lead communicates with the general public, provides daily operational oversight of medical services and asset protection while assuming ancillary duties to develop and train the team for future service.

This position serves as a Public Safety Officer Lead and is primarily a guest service position that provides a variety of loss prevention, fire and life safety and development of department Public Safety/Security Officers. Successful applicants are eligible to enroll in Healthcare, vision and dental medical coverage as well as a 401K program.  Paid time off (PTO), sick time, free ski pass and discounts across all Vail Resorts.

Job Requirements / Skills:

• Applicants who are successful in this role are passionate about leadership, helping people and problem-solving in a teamwork environment. They also have a curiosity and eagerness to learn more about the Public Safety/Emergency services industry and have the ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations.
• Successful applicants should have a minimum 2 years relevant work experience. Guest service, emergency services or security related experience. Essential abilities include: communicate clearly and concisely, consistent positive attitude while dealing with the public, stakeholders and employees, verbally de-escalate tense situations involving irate guests, strong writing skills, prepare clear and concise reports.
• Calm, clear and independent decision making is essential, coupled with a professional demeanor and strong administrative background.
• The position requires shift work, including holidays, weekends, overnight and may require additional work hours.
• Responsible for the development, training and supporting team members in compliance with Keystone Emergency Services standards.
• Assists in supervising the daily operation of the KES department ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and satisfactory manner.

Additional qualifications/requirements include:

• Cover Letter and Resume - Required
• High School diploma or equivalent - Required
• Valid Colorado Driver’s License - Required
• Colorado EMT-Basic or higher certification – NREMT certification will need to apply for reciprocity through the State Agency- Preferred.  Not Required.
• BLS/AED healthcare provider certification –Perferred.
• Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills-Required.
• Pass a background and motor vehicle check
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Developing and conducting shift training.
• Regularly and consistently attending meetings and trainings during the work day.
• Occasionally attending meetings and trainings outside of the regular work week.
• Other duties as assigned.

The expected pay range is $23.00 - $27.94. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
