Kforce has a client in Phoenix, AZ that is seeking a GCP Engineer to join their team. Duties:
- Act as consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders in engineering, sales, customer organizations to resolve technical deployment obstacles and improve Google Cloud
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Google Cloud's GKE/Anthos product technology and underlying architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining the root cause for customer-reported issues, building tools, and faster diagnosis
- Confirmed support of production systems at scale
- Willingness to learn new technologies and exploit them to their optimal potential
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of experience with Infrastructure automation tools (Terraform), with a focus on IaC and immutable infrastructure
- 5 years of experience with GCP cloud offerings
- Software development experience in one of the OO programming language: Java, Go and or Python
- Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics
- Strong background of Container & Orchestration Technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift
- Understanding of good cloud architecture to ensure high availability while ensuring the highest level of security and visibility
- Understanding of Traffic Flow Management, to include Service Mesh concepts, with experience in Istio preferred, as well as how GTM and LTMs manage traffic flows
- Ability to effectively interpret technical and business objectives and challenges and articulate solutions
- Able to demonstrate Agile Practices
- Able to demonstrate Porting/Software Configuration
- Able to demonstrate Programming Languages and Framework development
- Able to demonstrate Business Analysis
- Able to demonstrate Analytical Thinking
- Able to demonstrate Business Product Knowledge
- FinOps (cloud) domain knowledge preferred
