RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Grant Accountant in Washington, DC.Responsibilities:Grant Financial Management- Manage financial activities related to grants, including budgeting, expenditure tracking, and reporting
- Monitor grant funds to ensure alignment with the terms and conditions of each grant
- Prepare and submit timely financial reports to grantors as per their requirements
- Ensure compliance with grant regulations, organizational policies, and accounting principles
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audits and compliance reviews
- Collaborate with program managers to develop budgets and financial reports for grant applications
- Reconcile grant accounts and prepare financial statements for management review
- Analyze financial data to provide insights into grant performance and expenditure trends
- Assist in creating financial forecasts and budget projections for grant-funded programs
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate grant financial reporting
- Communicate financial information effectively to stakeholders and grantors
- Assist in providing necessary information during audits and evaluations
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or 3 years of senior work experience
- Experience in grant accounting and financial management within a non-profit environment
- Strong understanding of grant compliance and reporting requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
We may ultimately pay more or less than this range.
Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.
This range may be modified in the future.

Salaried personnel receive paid time off.
Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
