Kforce has a client in Bowie, MD that is seeking a Payroll Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- The Payroll Specialist will take ownership of federal, state and local payroll tax compliance with help from PEO (ADP Total Source)
- Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems
- Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g. new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades
- As a Payroll Specialist, you will ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
- Liaise and support HR Director with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports
- The Payroll Specialist will resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions, ensuring high levels of honestly & customer service to team members
- Expertise in federal, state and local payroll tax compliance
- Proven experience as a payroll manager booking monthly payroll actuals, accruals, benefits taxes by legal entity, joint venture, and department
- Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
- Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
