Technical Accounting Manager

They are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technical Accounting Manager to join their finance team. Job Description As a Technical Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of their financial statements with relevant accounting standards and regulations. You will leverage your expertise in technical accounting to provide guidance on complex accounting issues, support financial reporting, and work closely with various departments to maintain high standards of financial integrity. Responsibilities:

• Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the finance team and other departments
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and other relevant accounting standards
• Research and document complex accounting issues, including new accounting standards and pronouncements
• Prepare technical accounting memos and position papers
• Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and disclosures
• Collaborate with external auditors and manage audit processes
• Support the implementation of new accounting standards and policies
• Conduct technical training sessions for finance staff and other stakeholders
• Assist with special projects, including mergers and acquisitions, as needed
• Monitor and analyze regulatory developments and assess their impact on the company
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical accounting
• Background with a national public accounting firm is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting
• Excellent research and analytical skills
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate complex accounting issues clearly and concisely
• Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
