RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Stafford, VA that is seeking a Cloud Computing Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* The Cloud Computing Engineer will be providing cloud engineering expertise to the systems engineering efforts to investigate, analyze, plan, design, build, test, and deploy technology solutions to enhance and optimize DCSA's IT infrastructure, with a focus on the computer system perspective, as part of the overall strategic objective of the DCSA IT modernization and One IT initiatives to provide an improved flexible enterprise IT environment to support the DCSA mission IAW with DCSA and DoD policies and procedures and commonly utilized industry best practices
* Supporting planning, design and development of FedRAMP authorized cloud-based capabilities for DCSA-directed cloud Workspace One - related cloud initiatives such as AWS Govcloud, MS Azure, VMWare and others
* Coordinating with and provides expertise to third-party vendors and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for input into reengineered designs
* As a Cloud Computing Engineer, you will be offering recommendations and evaluations for cloud strategies and emerging technology impacts, supporting feasibility studies and addressing IT performance gaps and technology overlaps
* Supporting analysis of system needs from perspectives of current and future performance expectations and computing power requirements, integration limitations, and organizational goals
* Designing modules of computer systems to permit extensions in future stages
* The Cloud Computing Engineer will be working closely with architects to plan for unique configurations of hardware, software, web integration, firewalls, internet connection, servers, and security specifically needed for cloud computing
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree and 9 years of experience; Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
* IASAE-I certification in one of the following areas: CASP CE, CISSP, CSSLP
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
