RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Pittsburgh, PA that is seeking a Data Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* In this role, the Data Engineer will create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
* Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements
* Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery and scalability
* Design and implement ETL routines using Azure Data Factory to deliver transformed data
* Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems
* Collect and understand business requirements to document, design and develop required data flows
* Create and maintain data model documentation
* Define, implement, and document best practices for database design and ETL
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and environment optimization
* The Data Engineer will support analysts and business partners in gathering and analyzing data from various sources such as databases, spreadsheets, and similar
* Provide technical/functional support for pipeline related activities
* Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, processes, and troubleshooting documents
* Assist with task and project level planning and accurately reports the status of all assignments
* Plan, upgrade, and deploy systems using established standards
* Design systems to meet requirements and functional specifications
* Manage service requests, incidents, and problems to ensure they are resolved properly
* As a Data Engineer, you will keep abreast of new technologies
* Additional duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5 years of relevant experience
* Experience building and optimizing Azure data pipelines, architectures, and data sets
* Proven understanding of data warehousing, data architecture, and BI
* Knowledge of modern apps and data platforms
* Experience with cloud platforms like Azure
* Azure Certification a plus
* Knowledge of cloud-based project implementation
* Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes
* Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
