RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Production Supervisor in Bedford, IN. As a Production Group Leader, you will be responsible for supervising a group of employees to develop business processes, manage production operations and foster an atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation.
Job Responsibilities:
* Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency
* Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems
* Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems
* Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances
* Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records
REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict
* Basic computer proficiency (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to coordinate, manage and lead people
* Must be willing to work weekends and rotating shifts (2nd and 3rd shift)
Preferred Skills:
* Experience supervising employees in a union environment
* Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP)
* Proficient in Throughput Improvement Process (TIP)
* Advanced understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
