RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Remote Principal GenAI Data Scientist in Palo Alto, CA.
Summary:
The Principal Data Scientist will innovate in cybersecurity using Generative AI to enhance SOC operations. This role uniquely blends AI expertise with a passion for cybersecurity, focusing on transforming advanced AI research into practical cybersecurity solutions. Responsibilities:
* Develop AI models for threat simulation, pattern analysis, and SOC automation
* Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, manage data, and stay updated with industry advancements
* Innovate in cybersecurity by developing and fine-tuning generative AI models for threat simulation and prediction
* Utilize AI for emerging threat identification and pattern analysis
* Integrate AI tools to automate threat detection and response in SOC operations
* Collaborate closely with cybersecurity teams to tailor AI solutions to specific needs
* Manage cybersecurity data to inform AI model development
* Stay abreast of AI and cybersecurity advancements and effectively communicate concepts within the cybersecurity context
REQUIREMENTS:
* Advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, AI, or a related field, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience
* At least 4 years of experience as a Data Scientist
* At least 2 years with Gen AI/LLM
* Experience with knowledge Graph
* Hands-on experience with machine learning techniques, including deep learning, NLP, CV, GNN
* Strong AI expertise with a focus on generative models, analytical problem-solving skills
* Strong expertise in artificial intelligence, particularly generative models, and a keen interest in cybersecurity applications
* Proven leadership capabilities and a track record of successful project management and team collaboration
* Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
* Cybersecurity experience is huge plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
