Senior Network Engineer - Remote

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Louisville, KY that is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a remote role.

Responsibilities:
* In this role, the Senior Network Engineer will collaborate with multiple teams to prioritize work and provide status to stakeholders
* Prepare statements of work relative to upcoming network installations and general preparations for installations
* Troubleshoot connectivity issues when needed
* Assist and mentor less experienced peers
* Create network assessments and certifications
* The Senior Network Engineer will analyze network topologies to determine potential issues and makes suggestions for recommended changes
* Install software on networking devices; Install current network operating system on new or existing devices and/or install communication equipment including routers, switches and firewalls
* Provide phone support to customers, both technical and non-technical, to assist in customer configuration and testing
* As a Senior Network Engineer, you will create, configure, and maintain network communications tunnels between the company platform and all customers

REQUIREMENTS:
* Associates degree or equivalent required
* Bachelor's degree preferred
* 6-9 years of experience in network engineering or related field
* 2 years of experience creating and maintaining ipsec tunnels

Nice to have:
* Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
* Experience with AWS cloud environment networks
* Familiar with Agile/Scrum Development frameworks
* Experience with Jira
* Knowledge of regulatory and compliance best practices in regards to network security

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
