Senior Network Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for one of our clients in the Pittsburgh, PA region to perform project-based consulting with various customers to design, implement, and support Cisco-based networks.

Summary:
In this role, you will work in a virtual office/office/client-based environment to assist customers with network high-level and detailed design, implementation, operations, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. You will develop documentation related to project requirements, design, and architecture. The consultant will also develop customer-facing presentations for designed technology solutions. Robust documentation and writing skills are required to complete assessment and design reports for our customers.

Duties:
* Senior Network Engineer will assess, design, implement, troubleshoot, and document networks and related systems
* Develop high-level and detailed implementation and test plans for Cisco and Arista technologies related to enterprise networks
* Provide knowledge transfer and informal training to clients

REQUIREMENTS:
* Cisco CCNA and/or CCNP certifications - required
* Cisco and Arista routing/switching - 10 years of experience minimum
* Ten (10) years of experience creating, modifying, and trouble-shooting router and switch configurations required
* At least ten (10) years of experience independently managing multiple and larger-scale network projects
* Network design and architecture - at least five (5) years of experience
* Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) - three (3) to five (5) years of experience desirable
* Experience with Network Management Tools
* Experience with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and L2 switching
* Experience with Cisco DNA Center (Cisco Catalyst Center)
* Experience working with security and firewalls (Cisco and Palo Alto)
* CPPM authentication configuration
* 802.1
* Cisco Wireless
* Managing inventory for projects
* Cisco SDWAN
* Passion for learning and an organized and professional approach to designing and implementing solutions
* Having a positive attitude that you display, along with excellent customer service and communication skills, is critical
* A self-starter, work in a team environment, and have demonstrated the ability to resolve issues independently
* Experience in a consultative capacity - desirable

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
