Serious Gaming Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is local to Peoria, IL that is seeking a Manager over their Simulation (Serious Gaming) Team. This is a full-time, hybrid role, for a highly motivated and experienced Serious Gaming Manager in Peoria, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of serious games, which are designed to educate, train, or inform end users on specific topics while providing an engaging and impactful experience.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and manage a team of development professionals, fostering a collaborative and goal-oriented work environment
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, developers, and subject matter experts to define project goals and requirements
* Lead the team growth planning and development year to year to support our professionals in creating high-quality and engaging experiences for customers
* Responsible for department staffing to support timelines, budgets, and teams delivering effectively
* Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and growth in serious simulation
* Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver customized serious simulation solutions

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, or related field
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in simulation or gaming development, with a focus on serious simulation or educational games
* Strong management skills with the ability to multitask and self-prioritize
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
* Proficiency in game/simulation development tools and technologies such as Gaming/Physics Engines, and Mixed Reality
* Passion for gaming and a commitment to leveraging technology for positive social impact

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
