Kforce's client, a regional CPA firm in New York, NY is seeking a Bookkeeper to perform bookkeeping for various clients. Responsibilities :
- Bookkeeper will prepare and file quarterly and annual payroll returns for both Fed and State
- Calculate net payroll and deductions for clients' employees (ADP and Paychex)
- Make monthly and / or quarterly payments for Sales and Use Tax, Payroll, and individual income tax
- Collect and reconcile monthly client bank and credit card statements, invoices, and documents, enter transactions into QuickBooks
- Train clients on QuickBooks and other accounting software if needed
- Reconcile bank accounts and run trial balances, enter journal entries, and prepare monthly and / or quarterly financial statements and tax returns
- Review financial statements and provide final reports to CPA and / or clients
- As a Bookkeeper, you will maintain a thorough understanding of financial reporting and GL structure
- Work closely with CPA and staff accountants and provide status updates
- Respond to client inquiries and provide copies of financial documents, etc.
- 3 years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks - preferably out of a public accounting firm
- Experience working with multiple clients
- Experience processing 1099's and W-2's
- CCH ProSeries, ProSystems fx Tax / Fixed Asset / Document, Engagement a plus (not required)
- Entertainment Industry a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs.

Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
