Responsibilities:
* The DevOps Architect will design, architect, implement and document next generation system architecture and automation solutions; The focus includes and is not limited to micro service architecture (modern/legacy) and discovery with virtual network integration
* Collaborate with IT and business teams to establish and implement industry best practices and innovative approaches in DevOps, infrastructure automation, and security protocols
* Clear focus on security from an organizational standpoint
* Interact effectively with co-workers and be able to collaborate with multiple teams
* Establish and maintain positive vendor relationships while implementing DevOps strategies with participating internal teams
* The DevOps Architect will provide guidance and mentorship to other team members to ensure adherence to DevOps best practices and promote a unified approach
* Implement and maintain pipelines promoting process automation to facilitate speed to marketRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related tech field
* 5 years of experience working with source control systems (GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure Repositories, Microsoft Team Foundation Server)
* 5 years of experience working with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Gitlab CI or relevant technologies
* 2 years of experience supporting DevOps practices
* 2 years of public cloud experience (AWS or Azure)
* Proficiency utilizing configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible and Terraform
* Proficiency leveraging monitoring tools such as Dynatrace/Azure Application Insights/New Relic
* Proficiency utilizing with Docker and Kubernetes
* Proficiency setting up with Database platforms: SQL Server, MongoDB and DB2
* Excellent understanding of general networking concepts such as DNS, firewalls, load balancers, etc.
* Strong grasp of CI/CD technology concepts and hands-on experience with major cloud providers including Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP, with a thorough understanding of serverless approach vs. containerization using Docker and kubernetes
* Proficiency working with scripting languages such as PowerShell for windows and bash for Linux and Mac OS
* Team oriented mindset and impeccable communication skills
