As a Shop Technician you'll be working closely with service management and will be responsible for the timely and effective repairs of various brands of gas meter, and gas measurement equipment. This will include diagnosing, parts ordering, technical report writing, maintaining care of company assets, and proper communication with others. On-the-job training is provided, we want to help you learn!
What does the role involve?
Perform shop repairs and maintenance with little or no direct supervision.
Diagnose and evaluate problems with equipment; make repairs using established guidelines.
Model safe work habits and always abide by all safety policies and procedures.
Organize, clean, and maintain a safe work area.
Contribute to departmental and product line goals.
Attending factory and other training as specified by the supervisor.
Maintain shop equipment in good working condition and keep clean.
Exhibit a professional demeanor with customers, managers, and colleagues.
Facility/common area maintenance.
Perform other assignments as requested by the manager.
What you need:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Maintain a valid driver's license.
Ability to thrive both independently and in a team environment.
Physical requirement:
Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead.
Pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying up to 75 pounds without assistance.
Ability to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy and maintain individual PPE in a functional condition.
