SUMMARY
The OSP (Outside Plant) Installation Trainer evaluates training needs, participates in the development and delivery of training materials for Installation and supports personnel as needed for both our industry leading telecommunications DCCI and Mobility organizations. The primary objective of the Installation Trainer will be to contribute training expertise and assist work areas in developing both new and existing business programs.
Will provides guidance and information to operations management on recommended training programs. They assist in developing curricula for our OSP (Outside Plant), DCCI and Mobility telecommunications divisions. Must manage projects and training initiatives, which directly support KGPCo, to effectively implement strategic business objectives in driving safety, quality, compliance, and effectiveness throughout the organization.

- Collaborates with a variety of internal and external stakeholders for the purpose of serving as a contact and resource in identifying employee training needs within KGPCo.
- Creates and assists in the creation of training documents and the implementation of the training.
- Evaluates training materials (e.g. training data, instruction outlines, text and handouts, evaluation of training effectiveness, etc.) for the purpose of implementing training activities that address identified training needs in accordance with KGPCo objectives and guidelines.
- Maintains a variety of manual and electronic files and/or records (e.g. training procedure manuals, guides, etc.) for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and complying with customer requirements and established guidelines.
- Monitors training costs for the purpose of ensuring services are provided in compliance with department objectives and guidelines.
- Plans and organizes employee trainings and materials for the purpose of implementing training activities that address identified training needs within KGPCo.
- Researches a variety of information (e.g. courses, materials, training consultants, etc.) for the purpose of developing new programs that meet KGPCo training needs.
- Analyze existing systems, interface requirements, business processes, and determine where improvements are needed.
- Identify gaps in functionality and work with other function groups to enhance processes.
- Develop new processes and recommend improvements to all procedures and ensure optimal level of employee participation and satisfaction.
- Assist employees in optimal utilization of all software tools and provide technical assistance during implementation of all new tools.
- Ensure effective transfer of information learned in training to the work environment.
- Responsible for implementation of necessary training determined by OPS Readiness team members.
- Manage and implement procedures that reduce:
- Overproduction – more than customer needs or is willing to pay for (qty)
- Deviations from standards and/or regulations
- Transportation of things – either physical or electronic
- Downtime or waiting due to upstream process
- Inventory or human resources on hand
- Motion – worksite set up
- Processing – producing higher quality than required
- Under-utilized talent
- Experience in Learning Management System (LMS) a plus.
- Experience in Adobe Captivate a plus.
- Be an ambassador of the Safety and Quality Management department to all parties, internal and external.
- Performs other duties as requested by Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 3 years of experience in Telecommunications Industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs/software
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
