Khoros is looking for a dynamic, creative and forward-thinking Instructional Designer to build a process for creating meaningful e-learning content for our customers, employees and partners. Creation of on-demand learning capabilities is a key initiative for the company and an important part of of our support transformation plan. This is a new role and one that will have the opportunity to shape the direction of our adult-learning strategy.
You’ll have the opportunity to develop best practices and deliver world-class training content to support new members of the Khoros customer- and employee-base and our partner ecosystem. You understand what it takes to motivate and build trusted relationships that drive results. This role is critical to our organization as it sets a foundation for the development of our customers' and partners’ platform education.
Responsibilities
- Apply adult learning theory to drive business outcomes.
- Build and implement an instructional design process for creating, maintaining, and improving customer facing online learning.
- Design and develop video courses and supplemental resources, including exercises and assessments.
- Collaborate effectively with other instructional designers as well as key stakeholders and subject matter experts across the business to understand the needs of the course objectives developed for user roles, use cases, and certification programs.
- Manage continued learnings related to our total suite of product offerings in addition to best practices, processes and information about our clients and the industry.
- Update the structure and build of Khoros certification programs.
- Ensure learning and performance objectives are appropriate for Khoros customers by solving for a wide variety of personas with unique needs.
- Continuously improve education initiatives that meet external customer needs.
- Work on multiple projects concurrently, monitoring activity, progress, and time related to project development
- Develop a system for reviewing new product/feature releases and updates, then updating content to ensure that learning content remains current
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years education experience developing learning programs in a SaaS environment. The ideal candidate will have deployed multiple on-demand learning solutions in a variety of adult learning settings during their career.
- Experience managing an LMS system required (Litmos would be ideal)
- Proficiency with interactive elearning and/or video production software, such as: Camtasia, Captivate or Premiere Pro
- Demonstrated knowledge of leading-edge training platforms, technologies, and content creation tools
- Exceptional English written skills with advanced grammar knowledge
- Strong ability to prioritize, demonstrate time management, adhere to deadlines and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
- Bachelors or Masters degree in instructional design and/or user experience research. User experience design, visual design, and marketing experiences are a plus
- 2 years Project Management experience (PMP certification/experience would be outstanding)
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams
The base salary range for this role is $78,000 - $83,000 with a 10% Bonus. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
