Quality childcare center, also NAEYC accredited, is seeking an experienced infant and toddler teacher.
Our mission is to care for, protect children, include and educate all children, including high risk children; Build a solid foundation for learning which begins at birth. Also, improve the quality of children's lives through quality childcare, early screening, early quality education, family support and engagement.
Infant and toddler teacher is responsible for the well-being of the infant and toddlers under their care and the leadership of the classroom. They must monitor the children all day to ensure that they play and interact in a safe and appropriate manner.
Some of their typical duties include:
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom consistent with health and safety standards
- Active Supervision of children and engagement to ensure safety
- Classroom management of infants/toddlers and classroom team
- Meal service and meal-recording
- Creative program/lesson planning supporting best practices
- Observations to help improve social and emotional competencies
- Child Screening
- Child Portfolios
- Host classroom family engagement activities in the classroom/center
- Family communication
- Parent Meetings
- Parent Newsletters
- Lead classroom team meetings
- Attend monthly center team meetings
Skills and credentials
- Friendly and reliable
- 1-2 years of Experience
- Have either a CDA or AA degree in early childhood or 62 credits (at least 12 credits in early childhood) from an accredited college
- A plus - Familiar with Teaching Strategies, Creative Curriculum, and NAEYC
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
