Kids Above All is seeking a Training Coordinator (Clinical) for our Higgins office. This position will be responsible for administrating for Clinical and non-Clinical trainings.

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Vice President of Human Resources, the Training Coordinator has primary responsibility in the training and professional development initiatives of Kids Above All as well as data entry within the HRIS system, preparing monthly and quarterly reports; and other administrative activities.

Essential Functions:

  • Managing, designing, developing, coordinating, and conducting all training programs under the direction of the Vice President of Human Resources.
  • Works with Chief Clinical Operating Officer and/or Clinical Director to determine clinical trainings.
  • Communicating with program VPs, and Director’s managers to identify training needs and mapping out development plans for programs.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly training reports as requested.
  • In collaboration with the VP, ensure that Human Resource activities follow federal, state, and local EEOC regulations, COA, DCFS, and other governing bodies.
  • Manages training data base and record maintenance.
  • Creates sign in sheets and evaluation forms.
  • Generates reports for supervisors to monitor staff training requirements.
  • Organizes and copies training materials as needed for each class and maintains master copy.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date training information on the Kids Above All SharePoint and calendar
  • Sends Training announcements via email to KAA staff.
  • Arranges for logistical aspects of KAA training sessions, including: room scheduling, reservation and set up, refreshments, equipment needs, training materials and supplies and being on-site on the day of training
  • Schedules and coordinates established KAA training classes.
  • Schedules identified trainers for and/or delivers standard training sessions, such as: Mental Health First Aid, First Aid & CPR, CPI, etc.

  • Responds to all employee Training inquiries, answers questions, or redirects to another member of the HR team as appropriate.
  • Acts in a professional manner at all times by maintaining appropriate boundaries with KAA employees and maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates openness and respect for cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of clients and coworkers.
  • Participates in department and agency committees, as assigned.
  • Function as a liaison between DCFS and other regulatory bodies and the Agency.
  • Administers and is responsible for managing LinkedIn Training agency-wide.
  • Other duties as they relate to meeting the challenges, expectation and mission of the Human Resource Department and the Agency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Human Resources, Training and Development, Organizational and Development or similar field.
  • Minimum of 1 year training experience.
  • Experience creating training for substance abuse, signs of trauma, mental health, and etc.
  • LPC or LSW preferred.
  • Strong presentation, training, and group facilitation skills.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work with all levels of staff.
  • Proficiency with Paylocity HRIS system preferred.
  • Must display a professional and positive image, demonstrate superb work ethics and leadership qualities as well as maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Detailed organization, time management and planning skills.
  • Strong writing skills and training curriculum development.
  • Demonstrated strong organization and planning skills.
  • Experience and strong skills in maximizing a Learning Management System.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Clean driving record and access to an insured automobile.
  • Travel required to other program site and training locations throughout the Chicagoland area.
  • Experience in a social service setting preferred.
  • Ability to travel to multiple office locations.
