Job Title
Kids at Work, an infant center and preschool providing a safe, clean, and nurturing educational environment, is looking for an energetic person to fill our Assistant Director position. The successful candidate for this position will help maintain and lead a fun filled, family-oriented environment with an amazing team of teachers and students. We are looking for someone who has a strong background in early childhood education and is compassionate about working with families and encouraging young children to grow and learn.
Job Responsibilities
The Assistant Director is responsible for supporting the school director, teachers, students, and classrooms.
Environment Duties
Support the Director in supervision and management responsibilities
Mentor and promote the professional growth of teachers, staff, and aides
Effective communication with staff, students, and their families
Develop, maintain, and supervise developmentally appropriate curriculum
Planning, supervision, and execution of day-to-day activities
Teaching in each of our aged-based classrooms
Compliance with all state, federal, and local rules, regulations, and requirements
Office Duties
Daily and monthly reporting and documentation
Ordering of material, food, supplies, etc.
Respond to inquires received via phone, email, or in person
Invoice and tuition processing
Organize parent conferences, fundraisers, and other special events
Receive, process, and track registration paperwork and student files
Required Qualifications
Early Childhood Education, Management Experiences and Computer Skills (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Minimum of 12 Early Childhood Development Units and 6 Units in Administration
1-3 years of management experience in the early childhood development field
CPR/First Aid certificate or ability to acquire within 30 days of hire
Soft Skills Desired
Flexible - ability to perform in fast paced environment with varying roles throughout the day, while remaining calm
Ability to manage your time and adjust quickly to a fluid environment
Creative problem solving and conflict resolution
Independent initiative-taker
Capable of establishing strong, positive relationships within all levels of school
Computer experience in Microsoft (Word, Excel, outlook) and Bright Wheel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
