The ideal candidate will be a caring individual who enjoys teaching young children with the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. You will have a GED or H.S. diploma and have completed the Early Childhood courses as designed by the state Child Care authority. You will have the flexibility to work a shift between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm and have reliable transportation to the Kids Haven center to ensure consistency for the infants. A clean drug screen and background check are essential before an offer an be extended.
Duties
- Provide a safe and loving environment for the infants in his/her care
- Give bottles to infants as provided by parents
- Feed infants' solid foods as age appropriate and provided by parents (record feedings)
- Change diapers as needed (record diaper changing)
- Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them
- Supervise infants on the floor as they play with age appropriate toys
- Put infants in cribs for nap time
- Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean
- Read, sing, play songs and dance with the infants
- Engage and interact with infants.
Requirements
- Completion of the Early Childhood courses as designed by the state Child Care authority
- Meet annual professional development requirements, per state regulations
- Pass a Bright from the Start background check
- Caring individual who enjoys teaching young children
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
- Ability to work a shift in between 6:30 am _ 6:30 pm that changes weekly
- Reliable transportation to the Child Care center
- Great customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents
