Duties:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
- Use effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior and a productive learning environment
- Assess and monitor each child's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching educational experience
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and any incidents or observations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or educational setting
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check

- Daycare experience
- Special education knowledge or experience is a plus
- Classroom management skills
- Math instruction for young children

Having a degree in Early Childhood is not required, but some education in the field is required. Having your CDA, some college, classes through Develop MN is encouraged.
We use Pinnacle Faith Based curriculum during the school year with more relaxed lesson planning during the Summer. We are a Child Care Center serving infants through 10 years offering daycare in addition to our Preschool.
