What are the responsibilities and job description for the Competitive Allstar Cheerleading Coach position at Kids Spot?
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead cheerleading practices and training sessions
- Teach cheerleading techniques, including jumps, stunts, and tumbling
- Help clean up and modify choreographed routines for performances and competitions
- Provide guidance and support to cheerleaders during practices and performances
- Ensure the safety of cheerleaders by implementing proper spotting techniques and safety measures
- Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes among cheerleaders
- Communicate effectively with parents other coaches
-Support athletes at competitions
-Requires weekend travels for competitions (6-8 competitions/season)
Qualifications:
-Allstar coach experience PREFERRED (but not required)
- Previous experience as a cheerleader or cheerleading coach
- Knowledge of cheerleading techniques and routines
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively manage behavior and maintain discipline among cheerleaders
- Experience in other sports coaching or childcare is a plus
