What are the responsibilities and job description for the CARPENTER position at KidsPeace?
To provide safe and aesthetically pleasing facilities for clients and staff by maintaining buildings through good repair, by means of a Work Order system, Preventative Maintenance system, and by meeting the needs of the staff. To make alterations to buildings through remodeling and/or new construction to meet the requirements of KidsPeace.
Competencies:
High School Graduate or equivalent required.
Graduate of accredited trade school or at least 4 years of on the job training required.
Valid and appropriate state driver's license required.
Knowledge of all phases of building construction strongly preferred.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be able to receive & give detailed information through verbal & written communication.
Must be able to walk, sit, and stand for long periods of time, possibly the entire shift.
Must have the ability to move in excess of 100 lbs through lifting, pushing or pulling.
