Kidzcare Pediatrics is a busy pediatric practice with 3 locations based in Athens, Harriman, and Madisonville, Tennessee. Our mission is to provide quality healthcare for children, while promoting the education of their families in communities that need it most. In a nutshell, we exist to meet the needs of our patients. We also believe in delivering a joyful, fun experience to both children and their families while visiting a medical provider.
What You’ll Be Doing
The Practice Administrator will oversee the daily administrative and operation functions of the medical practice, ensuring smooth and efficient clinic workflow. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, implementing policies and procedures, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. They will work closely with healthcare providers to optimize patient care delivery and enhance the overall patient experience.
The success candidate will be able to:
- Recruit, hire, manage, and lead the administrative and clinic support teams, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Develop and implement effective operational processes to optimize workflow and enhance patient satisfaction
- Identify operational issues and implement solutions to improve workflow
- Coordinate, monitor and oversee daily activities such as appointment scheduling/appointment management processes, patient registration, billing, and medical records management
- Address patient complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Implement initiatives to enhance the patient experience and improve patient outcomes
- Manage financial aspects of the practice, including budgeting, financial reporting, and expense control
- Monitor financial performance and implement strategies for improvement
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to streamline patient care processes and enhance overall operational efficiency
- Oversee the implementation and utilization of electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve practice goals, such as attracting and retaining patients, contributing to practice growth
- Act as a brand ambassador of the medical practice
- Identify opportunities for growth and expansion
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy laws (HIPAA), and industry standards
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive continuous improvement within the practice
- Perform any and all other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field required, Master's degree preferred
- Proven experience (5 years) in healthcare practice management or related administrative roles
- Experience working in a matrixed organizational environment
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and privacy practices
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and fluid environment covering multiple locations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Tech savvy
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software, including strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
