POSITION SUMMARY

Kilbourne Group is looking for a Assistant Construction Superintendent that wants to change the landscape of downtown Fargo. Kilbourne will be starting construction on a project on NP Avenue near the Old Broadway. The project will have 460 parking stalls, 168 multifamily units and a 30,000-sf theatre. The Assistant Construction Superintendent provides on-site supervision and work under the direction of the superintendent. Meets regularly to review the progress of work on the job and discuss problems that are outside of their authority.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Manage overall schedule during construction
  • Maintain Procore daily logs and daily site documentation.
  • Maintain two Open Space walks weekly
  • Maintain site safety/security
  • Provide 4-6 week look ahead schedule
  • Manage daily activities using daily logs and compile reports on progress, compliance, and obstacles.
  • Enforce safety and legal regulations to ensure a safe job site.
  • Keep job-site clean and orderly.
  • Unloading trucks, documenting and placing supplies.
  • Direct general labor to complete assigned tasks.
  • Communicate with subcontractors and field staff to ensure adherence to schedules, plans and specifications.
  • Inspect completed and in progress structures and sites for safety, compliance, and conforming to material and structural needs.
  • Attend and take notes at Pre-Construction and Construction meetings.
  • Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings under the superintendent's direction.
  • General carpentry skills, proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Maintain a professional and positive relationship with subcontractors.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with surrounding tenant's and neighbors.
  • Maintain a secure jobsite. Duties will include opening and closing gates, jobsite windows/doors, storage containers and onsite equipment.
  • Maintain 4-6 week look ahead schedule.
  • Assist in punch list process and quality control.

Environment - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently inspect the projects and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. This position may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.

POSITION SUMMARY

Education/Experience

Construction related secondary education preferred. Minimum of 10 plus years experience in commercial, mixed-use construction or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $78,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
