Front End Loader Operator

Position Overview

Kilgore Companies, a Summit Material company, is looking for Front End Loader Operators in our Aggregate division. In this position you will primarily be responsible for supporting production in a sand and gravel pit or stone quarry by feeding material into a crusher or loading finished products into trucks.

Compensation: $24/hour - $26/hour depending on experience

Position Responsibilities & Performance Objectives

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Essential Functions

• Operating a loader to complete tasks such as moving and/or transporting materials such as dirt, rocks, and other types of aggregate.
• Performing visual and safety inspection of equipment daily. This includes checking for proper air pressure in tires, proper fluid levels, and performing minor repairs as needed.
• Keeping equipment clean and orderly.
• Ensuring that safety, compliance, environmental requirements are always followed.
• Completing necessary paperwork and assisting with other duties required.

Skills & Experience

• Understanding of MSHA rules and regulations.
• Previous experience in quarry or pit experience a plus.
• Must have knowledge of operating procedures as it pertains to loading and unloading materials.
