What are the responsibilities and job description for the EHS Environmental Health and Safety Manager position at Kiliper Corporation?
Kiliper Corporation is looking for a skilled Environmental Health and Safety Director for our manufacturing facility in Ames, Iowa.
The EHS director will implement, execute, and manage Kiliper safety programs and ensure compliance with local and national regulations. They will facilitate a culture of safety through effective leadership and high-quality communication and training.
Example Duties:
- Management of the entire safety program and coordination of safety policies and programs
- Management of safety training for all employees from development, implementation, and ongoing improvement and audits
- Identify workplace safety hazards and implement corrective actions to eliminate or minimize them
- Develop and/or recommend policy updates or changes to reduce or eliminate hazards or regulatory citations
- Maintain effective relationships and communication with regulatory agencies on behalf of the company
- Oversight and management of workplace incident investigation and response including near miss, accidents, or injuries
- Communicate changes, best practices, and safety innovations with all levels of company employees
- Manage PPE and safety inventories
- Model standards of teamwork, and ethical and professional behavior
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of safety management experience in manufacturing industry
or
- BS/BA in EHS or relevant field.
- Internship or work experience in safety or manufacturing
